Daily Gratitude

Dear Children,

   I'm so grateful for the amazing Love you have opened up in my Life. I hope you will take a few moments each day to give thanks for all the Blessings  we have. For laughter... and healthy(ish) bodies... and the food we are blessed with... for our humble little home.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians 5: 18-20

Giving Thanks

How do you teach a child to practice the habit of gratitude? Certainly one way would be to lead by example. Experts suggest that our actions speak louder than our words.

Here are some great tips from an expert Mom.

  Rejoice evermore.
 Pray without ceasing.
 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18

An Attitude of Gratitude

The 23rd Psalm - a classic reminder of how much we have to be grateful for!

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
