The Halloween Tradition

You never saw him, but you learned to love him; you may not see him even now, but you believe in him;[b] and, if you continue to believe in him, how you will triumph! How ineffable your joy will be, and how sublime, 9 when you reap the fruit of that faith of yours, the salvation of your souls! 1 Peter 1: 8-9

Lift Up Someone

You know how sometimes children can be cruel - even vicious at times. So how do you teach that often forgotten quality - empathy to your child? How do we teach them to have a genuine concern for the feelings and well-being of others?

Children who understand and practice the fine art of caring for others may be less likely to follow the pack. They may be better prepared to avoid making some bad choices along the way. They will understand the damage being done and stand against it. How can we teach our little ones to always look for and bring out the good - in themselves and others.

Children may benefit greatly from that old adage "When you lift up someone else you are most often lifting yourself up a little higher as well"

Restore My Soul

Source: google.com via Lene on Pinterest

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23

Blessings

The Love we have for our Children must be one of God's Greatest Blessings.

The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children

Pray for Our Teachers

Some Teachers are special. They have a gift to share. Some are more loving - some more stern. Some are just coasting along - babysitting - until retirement. To those special few who haven't yet been turned to bitter. To those wonderful teachers who still have love to share with our youth while teaching their lessons - We salute you. Please pray for our Teachers and our young. May they all experience love - today and everyday!

Living by the Rules

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy Proverbs 31: 4-9

Dwell at Ease

"What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
" Psalm 25:12-14
